AMBER Alert Called Off After Abducted 3-Year Old Hispanic Girl is Found


Earlier today, the New York and New Jersey State Police departments activated the Amber Abducted Child Alert Plan after a man allegedly stabbed a 31-year old woman multiple times and fled with their their 3-year-old child.

According to the NYPD, 51-year old Diomedes Valenzuela allegedly stabbed his ex at 1:44 p.m. this afternoon 2974 Perry Avenue in the Bronx during a domestic dispute. Valenzuela then fled with the couple's 3 year-old daughter, Rebecca Valenzuela. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.

Considered armed and dangerous, Valenzuela was seen driving a silver 2004 Dodge Caravan, bearing New Jersey plates, crossing the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey. The van was spotted on Interstate 95 around 2 p.m. Just after 5 p.m. New Jersey State Troopers spotted the van on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton and took the suspect into custody. Rebecca Valenzuela was unharmed.

The investigation is ongoing.
