Big Daddy Kane Stops By The Wendy Williams Show
If you’re an 80’s baby like me, or just a fan of golden age (late 1980’s to early 1990's) hip-hop, then you’ve heard of Antonio Hardy, a.k.a Big Daddy Kane. The Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn born rapper and actor, who is of Puerto Rican and African American descent, is one of the most influential MCs in hip-hop. Kane stopped by The Wendy Williams Show today to open up about his role in the upcoming suspense thriller Exposed, his career, and his contributions to hip-hop.
Exposed, which is scheduled for limited release on January 22nd, takes place in Brooklyn and was filmed on location. Kane stars along side Keanu Reeves, Ana de Armas, and Mira Sorvino. The movie is about a police officer (played by Reeves) who investigates the truth behind his former partner’s death. Kane plays a drug dealer named ‘Black’ who Reeves suspects murdered his former partner.
During the interview, Kane revealed that he tried to get Jay-Z his first record deal, and actually took him on tour. He also performed his legendary hit “Raw.”
